Most of our charter fishing trips in Sebastian's Indian River lagoon are based on inshore or nearshore destinations, but an offshore trip can also be found, so quite a big amount of water is covered by our crew and their boats. Sebastian's waters are great for fishing, do not doubt that!

However, your chances to capture some kinds of fish differ depending on the month when you are going into the Sebastian Inlet.
For example, it is better to go for redfish or snook from July to October. In other months, such as June, November, and December, you still have pretty good chances but not as in the previous period of time mentioned by us.
Also, your place of fishing may not have some sort of fish: Tarpon is usually found both in the inshore and offshore destinations, but Mahi Mahi - only in offshore ones.

The fishing is great and he really makes it a fun time.
Captain Bill is the best captain out there! If you want to catch lots of fish he’s your guy. Thank you Bill for the great fishing trip.
We had a great day fishing offshore for half a day! We were able to boat three Kings. We had action most of the time while fishing. We not only caught fish, but we learned a lot while out on the water.
The inlet is trickier than most other places but is still the most preferable place for fishing in Central Florida. In here you would want a lot of tackle, as much will be lost due to the rocky surface of the inlet, as it is very important to fish at the bottom in here. Also, when fishing from spring to summer, try doing it at night, when the current is very fast and a lot of fish may come your way. In any case, your charters captain will guide you while fishing.
It always depends on the type of fish that you want to catch, but generally speaking, the summer season plus September and October are the best fishing season in Florida and in Sebastian especially. But there are some kinds of fish that are not even present during summer or fall, for example, pompano, which is better to be found during winter or spring.
