Their captain’s experience, diversity in fishing and productivity, combined with the Caribbean flats that their prime locations offer, ensure memories that will last a lifetime. If you are after one of the most productive and fun inshore fishing charters on the waters of Puerto Rico, hop on board a 20’ Carolina Skiff. This is a center console that can take up to 5 anglers per trip for insurance purposes. The skiff comes powered by a 115 HP Yamaha 4-stroke engine and is fully outfitted with everything you need for a productive day on the water. You will be provided with quality tackle, bait, fishing licenses, ice, water, and sodas. All you have to do is show up! Spend your morning or afternoon exploring the inshore waters. Get your hands on Tarpon, Snook, Jack Crevalle, Snapper, Grouper, Kingfish, Barracuda, and other species that patrol the reefs and the mangroves. Bayside Fishing Charters is located at San Juan Bay Marina, just 10 minutes from the Isla Verde and right on the San Juan Bay.

We were on a 4 hour afternoon trip and hooked 7 tarpons got 3 to the boat before they got off, 3 got off prior to getting to the boat and we actually landed one and got some great pictures before releasing it. We also landed 3 Jacks,1 snook, a barracuda and something he called a lady fish. We had a few minutes left so he took us out of the bay so we could get some great photos of the fort. Highly recommend these guys but I am sure they cannot guarantee our results because its fishing not always catching. I will go back next time in Puerto Rico and do it again.

We booked a last minute charter for our sons fishing fix. Captain Luis was fantastic, super patient with my son and fun to be with. He took us to great fishing spots and were able to catch and release a snook. On our way back, he took us to see some old San Juan sights, like el Morro and the governors mansion. I highly recommend Bayside and Captain Luis.

My husband and I went for a half day of fishing with Capt. Luis at Bayside Fishing Charters last week and had a fabulous time. We found communication with Bayside to be very prompt and professional in preparation for the fishing trip. And once we arrived, all went easily and smoothly with Luis at the helm. We are experienced fisher people, usually in Florida but had never gone for Tarpon before. Not only did we catch some tarpon, but also a big jack. And to top it off we really enjoyed learning a lot about the difference in fishing and fish habits in San Juan vs those fishing off of Florida from a very knowledgeable guide. Luis is great, and surprising us, we even discovered him to be opera lover! Chatting about Don Giovanni and fishing in calm waters with an expert guide--- what could be better!
