Chubasco Charters is a family-owned and operated fishing charter service, run by Captain Mike Russell and his wife Harriet. For the Chubasco family team that’s been in the fishing business for 30 plus years, fishing is much more than something they do for a living - it’s a lifelong obsession. Whether it’s a real big game adventure that you seek, a relaxing light tackle fishing trip on the reef or a snorkeling and beaching excursion Chubasco Charters aims to provide a memorable experience Chubasco VI is a 38 foot Hatteras Express, which can comfortably accommodate parties of up to 6 people for either fishing, snorkeling or sightseeing trips. Featuring a Marlin tower, as well as a spacious cockpit, Chubasco VI is operated by Captain Charlton Strachan, with over 20 years of experience in the charter fishing industry. Marine electronics include radio, fish finder and gps, and has a fighting chair ready if any larger fish appears on the other side of the line. Chubasco Charters offer private half day and full day charters, with half day trips usually departing at 8 AM (morning trip) and 1PM (afternoon trip), while the departure times for full day trips are more flexible. A 5-hour morning charter which departs at 7:30 in the morning can also be arranged, as well as a 5 or 6-hour afternoon charter which departs at 1 in the afternoon. We offer box lunches that include a ham and cheese or turkey and cheese sandwich on a 6” hoagie roll, an apple, a bag of chips, cookies and a candy bar at a cost of $20.00. Soft drinks are $6.00 per 6 pack, local Beer Kalik or Sands is $55.00 per case (24 cans), U.S. Beer is $65.00 per case (24 cans), 6 packs are 1/4 the case price.
